Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 November 2026

1. Who we are

Queens Meta Pty Ltd operates under the MR.E Advisory brand.

This Policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with our website, enquiries, professional relationships and property advisory services.

We respect the confidential nature of property decisions and seek to collect and use information proportionately. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and other privacy requirements to the extent they apply to our activities.

Our contact details are provided at the end of this Policy.

2. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on your interaction with us and the services involved. It may include:

Contact information: your name, email address, telephone number, postal address and preferred means of communication.

Property requirements: preferred locations, property characteristics, budget, timing, household requirements, accessibility needs and other information relevant to your brief.

Enquiry and engagement records: correspondence, meeting notes, instructions, agreements, feedback and records of advice or services provided.

Transaction information: relevant property interests, ownership arrangements, financial capacity, finance status, offers, negotiations, transaction documents, invoices and payment records.

Rental-related information: employment, income, rental history and references where reasonably necessary to assist with a rental application or related engagement.

Identity and compliance information: identity details, verification records, authority to act, beneficial ownership and, where required, source-of-funds or source-of-wealth information.

Website information: IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring pages, interaction data and cookie identifiers, depending on the website features and settings in use.

We do not need every category for every interaction. A general enquiry ordinarily requires much less information than a formal transaction.

Please do not send passwords, banking login credentials, tax file numbers or unnecessary identity, medical or financial documents through a general enquiry form.

3. How information is collected

We usually collect information directly from you through forms, email, telephone calls, meetings, documents and ongoing communications.

Where relevant and lawful, we may also collect information from your authorised representatives, professional advisers, referring contacts, property agents, owners, public registers and other parties involved in an engagement.

When collecting information from another source, we take reasonable steps to ensure the collection is appropriate and to provide any notice required by law.

If you provide information about another person, please ensure you have appropriate authority or another lawful basis to do so.

You may make a general enquiry anonymously or using a pseudonym where practicable. We may need to identify you before providing particular services, acting on instructions or meeting legal obligations. If necessary information is not provided, we may be unable to proceed with some or all of the requested services.

4. Sensitive information

Some information, such as health information associated with accessibility requirements, may be sensitive information under privacy law.

We collect sensitive information only where reasonably necessary for an appropriate purpose and with consent, unless collection is otherwise required or permitted by law.

Please provide only the detail relevant to your property requirements. We do not need a complete personal or medical history to understand an accessibility preference.

5. Why we use information

We use personal information as reasonably necessary to:

  • respond to enquiries, arrange discussions and understand your requirements;

  • assess, establish and carry out an engagement, including property research, rental assistance, acquisition support, strategy work and agreed professional coordination;

  • communicate with you, administer records, issue invoices, manage payments and resolve concerns;

  • protect our systems, prevent fraud, verify instructions and meet legal, regulatory, insurance and record-keeping obligations.

We may also use contact details to provide relevant updates or marketing where permitted by law, as explained below.

If we propose a materially different use that requires consent or further notice, we will address that before proceeding.

6. Identity verification and regulatory obligations

Where our activities are subject to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing requirements, we may need to collect, verify, use, retain and disclose information to meet those obligations.

This may involve information about clients, authorised representatives, beneficial owners, transaction counterparties and the purpose or funding of a transaction, as required in the circumstances.

Relevant information may be disclosed to verification providers, AUSTRAC, law enforcement or other authorised recipients where required or permitted by law. Legal restrictions may prevent us from explaining particular checks, reports or disclosures.

A separate collection notice may be provided when compliance information is requested. We do not collect detailed identity or financial information merely because someone visits this website.

7. When information is shared

We may share information, to the extent reasonably necessary and lawful, with:

Our personnel and service providers, including people supporting administration, website hosting, email, information storage, IT security and other business functions.

Your authorised advisers and transaction participants, such as solicitors, conveyancers, finance professionals, accountants, inspectors, planners, property agents, landlords or sellers, where appropriate to your instructions and the engagement.

Our professional advisers and insurers, where relevant to obtaining advice, managing risk or responding to a claim.

Regulators, courts, law enforcement and other legally authorised recipients, where required or permitted by law.

Our website is hosted on Squarespace, and we use Google Workspace for business email. Those providers process information in connection with the services they supply and may also handle certain information for their own purposes under their privacy terms.

We seek to limit disclosures to information relevant to the recipient’s role. We do not treat an enquiry as permission to circulate your documents broadly.

We do not sell personal information. We do not provide it to unrelated businesses for their own marketing without an appropriate lawful basis and any required consent.

8. Overseas processing and disclosure

Some technology providers and their authorised service providers operate internationally. Personal information may therefore be stored, accessed or processed outside Australia.

The overseas countries relevant to our current arrangements are:

[Before publication: insert the verified country list for MR.E’s actual hosting, email, storage, support and any other relevant service-provider arrangements.]

Where overseas disclosure is subject to the Australian Privacy Principles, we take the steps reasonably required to address the recipient’s handling of the information, unless a lawful exception applies.

This Policy does not ask you to waive rights relating to overseas disclosure. Contact us for further information about arrangements relevant to your personal information.

9. Website cookies and analytics

Our website uses technology provided by Squarespace to support its operation, security and functionality. Depending on the features enabled, cookies and similar technologies may also be used to understand how visitors use the website.

Technical information may include your IP address, device and browser details, pages visited, interaction information and cookie identifiers.

You can manage cookies through your browser and, where available, the website’s cookie controls. Restricting cookies may affect some website functions.

Third-party websites and embedded services may have separate privacy practices. Opening or interacting with them may allow those providers to receive information about your device or activity.

We will update relevant notices if additional analytics, advertising or tracking tools materially change how visitor information is handled.

10. Marketing communications

We send marketing communications only where we have the consent required by law or another lawful basis applicable to that communication.

Submitting a property enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to every marketing list or authorise unrelated third-party marketing.

You can opt out using the unsubscribe facility in a marketing message or by contacting us. We will action requests to stop commercial electronic marketing within five working days.

An opt-out does not prevent necessary communications about an existing engagement, your instructions, invoices or legal obligations.

11. Storage, security and retention

Information may be held in electronic systems, business email records and, where necessary, physical records.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. These include appropriate access restrictions, information-handling procedures and consideration of service-provider security.

No website, communication channel or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please contact us before sending particularly sensitive documents so an appropriate method can be arranged.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy and any applicable legal, regulatory, dispute-management or record-keeping requirements.

When information is no longer needed and retention is not required by law, we take reasonable steps to destroy it securely or de-identify it. A request for deletion does not override a legal requirement to retain particular records.

If a data breach occurs, we will assess and respond to it, including notifying affected individuals and the appropriate regulator where legally required.

12. Access and correction

You may ask to access personal information we hold about you or request correction of information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.

We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding. We aim to respond within 30 days, or otherwise within a reasonable period, and will explain any material delay.

There is no fee to make an access request or request a correction. If a reasonable charge for providing access is permitted by law, we will explain it before proceeding.

Access or correction may be restricted in circumstances permitted by law. If we refuse a request, we will generally explain the reasons and available complaint options, unless we are legally prevented from doing so.

13. Questions and complaints

Please contact us with any concern about how personal information has been handled. Include enough detail for us to understand the issue and the outcome you are seeking.

We will review the complaint, make appropriate enquiries and aim to provide a substantive response within 30 days. If more time is reasonably required, we will explain why and provide an update.

If you are not satisfied with our response, or have not received a response within 30 days, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where the matter falls within its jurisdiction.

The OAIC enquiries telephone number is 1300 363 992.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal obligations. The current version will be published on this page with its revision date.

Publishing an update does not, by itself, provide consent for a new use or disclosure that requires consent. We will provide additional notice or seek consent where required.
